CAPITOL HILL is the largest historic neighborhood in Washington, with stately row houses and townhomes lining leafy streets. An easy walk from the Capitol and Union Station, it is a natural location for government personnel, and its diversity and genuine neighborhood feel make it a location with something for everyone.
Long an industrial district and site of Washington Navy Yard, the NAVY YARD neighborhood has undergone extensive transformation since the 1990s. Construction of the Washington Nationals Park has especially stimulated growth in the neighborhood. Most of the neighborhood’s land is currently being developed into commercial and residential projects, as well as four public parks, and an Anacostia Riverwalk trail system for hiking and cycling.
