GEORGETOWN is probably the most famous neighborhood in DC. Home to Georgetown University and high-end shopping, it is also a neighborhood of lovely townhouses and mansions on tree-lined streets, many of which are still paved with cobblestones and street car tracks.
To the north of Georgetown, GLOVER PARK is a more affordable, quiet residential area of duplex townhomes and condominiums in older buildings. many of them recently renovated. Yet busy Wisconsin Avenue is just a few blocks away, so Glover Park is a good walking neighborhood.
